The Protectant™ Termite Barrier System The best defence against termites is a quality physical barrier system that is installed during construction. The good news is that even a high quality system such as The Protectant™ Termite Barrier System is not expensive. Especially when compared to the cost of having to treat the termite activity after it is discovered, repair the damage and then have further preventive treatment by drilling through concrete areas and digging up gardens, only to find the treatment lasts just a few years and will need to be done over again and again. A quality physical barrier system, installed during construction, can save many thousands of dollars in treatment and repair costs. That's why it pays to choose the best system available to give your most valuable asset the best protection available. You will be pleasantly surprised at the small cost of our system. The Protectant™ Termite Barrier System will give your home the ultimate security against termites without flooding the soil under and around your home with chemicals. Designed and made in Australia, Protectant™ has been extensively tested by the CSIRO and other NATA laboratories and complies to AS3660 and the Building Codes of Australia, to protect any construction method:
The Protectant™ Termite Barrier System is designed to deter termites from using concealed entry points where they would normally pass through undetected. Manufactured in Australia from quality components, the System is installed at a minimum height of 75mm above the ground level finishing flush with the external face of the brick or masonry joint and adhered or cast in to the concrete slab. The slab pipe penetrations (including Telstra, electrical and water) are protected by high quality 316 grade stainless steel or PVC flanges. Unlike chemical systems, there is no expensive re-treatments. The only maintenance you will require is an annual inspection by a licensed termite inspector. As you can see in the diagram to the right, service pipe (penetration) protection has been installed before the concrete has been poured. All possible entry points have been protected, including the service penetrations. Once the slab is poured the Barrier system is locked in place. Protectant™: Insist on the best protection for your new home |
